Enjoy some of the many wonderful outdoor activities to experience here in our national park. You can choose to go guided or on your own. Lake Louise is approximately a 45 minute drive from Banff and allows for an excellent day’s outing. You can get there along the Bow Valley Parkway and along the way the route passes by Johnston Canyon trail. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife.
There also are four golf courses within 20 minutes of the Buffaloberry which include the world renowned Stanley Thompson course at the Fairmont Banff Springs as well as the scenic Silvertip and Stewart Creek courses nearby in Canmore.
Spectacular views on Sulphur Mountain can be reached by a short 10 minute gondola ride and for the adventurous an hour and 45 minute hike uphill!
Afterwards, you can soak in the mineral spring’s pool on Sulphur or take advantage of a local spa. “Say Ohlmmmm!”
For your convenience, snowshoes, hiking poles and yak tracks are available free of charge here at the Buffaloberry. Need a light backpack, and bear spray, we have that too!
