The Inn

Drawing from Banff’s history, the Buffaloberry was designed with a fitting “railway vernacular”. The Inn’s western country interior, dramatic wood ceilings, sandstone fireplace, and wood and metal railing staircase add to the modern, yet rustic ambiance that bids the adventurous traveller. Surrounded by stunning peaks, the Inn is centrally located in a quiet residential neighbourhood in the heart of Banff. The Buffaloberry’s secure heated underground parking is free of charge.

Greatroom

Large and comfortable, the great rooms’ wood burning fireplace is flanked by a small library of local lore and guide books. Comfortable leather furniture and cozy arm chairs are surrounded by stone and glass end tables and western artwork. Next to the seating area is the breakfast nook and wet bar. A small bar fridge has complimentary bottled water and soft drinks and allows you to store your snacks for hiking if you choose. Tea and coffee is available at any time. Tea can be accompanied by treats served daily in the afternoon.

In the summertime, the Great Room opens up to a large furnished outdoor patio, raised and landscaped, a perfect setting for a late afternoon sip of wine, before venturing off to dinner. Oh, and did I mention, you can see Norquay’s North American ski run when you look up!
